Getting Enough Zzzz's

6:00 A.M. rolls around and that annoying beeping sound starts to blare out of your alarm clock speakers. Your eyes are heavy but your to do list is long and it's time to get ready to face another day. So you get yourself out of bed and wrap your hand around a Starbucks cup and jump in the car.
This sounds like a pretty typical morning for most of the American population. In the fast paced society we live in, sometimes it is hard for us to get an adequate amount of sleep. But not getting the doctor recommended 7-9 hours may be causing harm to your body. Here are some benefits of getting a good nights sleep:

- Sleep keeps your heart healthy.
- Sleep reduces stress
- Sleep is a natural restoration process
- Sleep helps our nervous system function properly
- Sleep can increase length of life
- Sleep can improve attention, memory, creativity, and even mood

Sleep is the time that your body restores and rejuvenates itself. Depriving yourself of a good nights sleep can have serious effects on your body. So try setting aside 7-9 hours a day to enjoy a good nights sleep!
